Research

The GEON related research at UNAVCO is focused in three main areas. The first is the Information Technology (IT) research. Second and third are more science related. UNAVCO is working with the University of Utah to set up a Yellowstone Volcano observatory database system. GRA Greg Bensen has been working the Dr. Mike Ritzwoller at the University of Colorado on developing and implementing a new technique for surface wave tomography.
