Data & Products
A large part of the GEON work being done at UNAVCO has been data compilation
and serving. As part of this, we have experimented with using OPeNDAP
servers. These servers are platform independent and work to help the data
` discovery process. For more info on the function of OPeNDAP
servers click here. Furthermore, improvements in the GPS Seamless
Archive Centers (GSAC) data distribution have also been made. Click
here for info on GSAC work.
Three types of data have been converted so far to be OPeNDAP compatible.
Seismic tomography models, global GPS velocity vector observations, and
the Global Strain Rate Map Project (GSRM) have all been converted to the
binary netCDF format and are online.
We have compiled tables with thumbnail pictures
of these files with plots made using the Integrated Data Viewer (IDV).
The metadata for these files can also been seen using the OPeNDAP server
here.
Online plate motion calculators have also been developed and can be accessed
here.
